Practise task - Eliza Doolittle big when i was little

In today's lesson we had to plan, record and edit us lip syncing a real song. One thing we all agreed on if we did it again is plan the video word for word with the song as we felt like we didn't have enough clips to include in the video. Some of the part's i liked included the small and large feet.

As we based our theme about someone leaving home as the song is by Eliza Doolittle - big when i was little we felt using the idea of small and large feet would work well with the song. Also as a group we wanted to make sure that we did a lot of cuts as a lot of music videos do have quick cuts as they know the audience would get bored if it was constantly the same part clip.

Another part of the video i also liked is myself leaving at different angles as this meant that we didn't have to keep the same clip for a long period of time as the intro is quite long and this wouldn't be entertaining for the audience.

Some of the area's we felt we could improve is the umbrella scene we felt went on to long, but as we didn't have enough clips we had to, to cover the whole song. This is now something we are aware of when we have to do the real thing that we don't do. I also personally don't like the box scene as the idea was to get a larger box and although the pictures would work the box itself didn't help us to link in with the song. This was due to the lack of materials we had in School, when we do our final video we know we are going to use proper materials. Overall i am happy with how the video came out as this software is different to the software used on the lip sync which meant that none of us had used it before. When it now comes to the real video i think we could use the software a lot better and add a lot more effects.

This was our final practise video.
